I just finished:
After Dark, Haruki Murakami - 2007, Einaudi
where: Tokyo
when: from midnight to seven in the morning.
characters:
- Mari in a cafeteria, a student is reading a book;
- Takahashi, a jazz musician, with his group is trying in a basement;
- Kaoru, a former wrestling champion that manages the Alphaville, a love hotel;
- the two assistants Kaoru;
- a Chinese prostitute beaten by a client;
- a computer expert, who works at night alone in his office;
- Eri, her older sister, Mari, a beautiful, fall into a deep sleep from which it is not going to wake up.
It 's a short story, says in a moment, not comparable to other jobs or wealth for Murakami plot. A series of photographs of an almost endless night, suspended, as sometimes happens, a lot of life drawn between any two days.
I'm reading:
Men Who Hate Women, the Millennium trilogy, 1 vol. Stieg Larsson , 2007 Marsilio
It took me right away, but now I can not leave: o)
In two nights I've eaten more than half (more than 600 pages).
Manual Graphics and Print , Mariuccia Theron, Apogee
interesting, but nothing new.
