defective LCD pixel: small remedies to try

Very often it happens that the LCD monitor has one or more pixels that do not want it to show the right color and appear "dead." Although it is annoying it can happen even in a brand new monitor plus we can use without warranty, since the majority of producers up to two defective pixels are not disputed. The only thing to do is try the monitor before you buy. To be sure that there are enough dead pixels to display a full screen background is completely black and then a completely white : if in both cases do not result in a different color pixels can rest easy.
Try clicking on the link above and view the page at full screen by pressing F11.
If you have already purchased the monitor, the only thing is to try to correct yourself.
First you need to distinguish between stuck pixels and dead pixels:
the dead pixels (dead pixels) are more blacks regardless of the background (why try a completely white background)
while stuck pixels (stuck pixels) can display any color and stand out better on a black background.

In the case of dead pixels, try turning off the monitor and let it cool, then apply light pressure with your finger in the screen where the pixels (not too much I recommend!) Turn off the monitor without removing your finger for a few seconds then remove it and see if you have solved. Sometimes it works.
In the case of pixel block is much easier to be able to remedy: just click here to download or run the java applets "JScreenFix" by Michael Gardiner, let it turn the screen for a full twenty minutes and everything goes back in place!
